Anniversary Ride

What a great time we had. The ride really brought back some of the memories.
We had 13 bikes head out of Morrison. We made our way through Golden to Gate
Canyon. The Planned stop was the main rest area in the park. I could not
believe the number of motorcycles that kept coming through the canyon. There
were two other groups that pulled in while we were there that were equal in size
to ours and a number of others that passed by.

The next stopped turned out to be an unplanned one. I had originally planned on
stopping at Echo Lake for indiviual pictures. Because of the traffic we
encountered on Wedensday (the pre-ride) I thought it would be better to find
another location along the way. Chelle had pointed out that there was a great
location along the Central City parkway. She was right. I got some great one
on one pictures.

The lunch stop was in Idaho Springs, We made our way to Tommy Knockers for
lunch. We had some great service, good food and a lot of laughter. I had a hard time believing we headed out at the time I planned. I guess I am just too
use to the idea of CC Riders time.

As soon as we headed out to Squaw Pass you could notice an imdiate change in the
tempeture. by the time we hit Echo Lake it had to have dropped a good fifteen
degrees. The coats came out and we made our way toward Evergreen. We were
going at a pretty good clip when I noticed that we seemed to be catching the
rain storm in front of us. I slowed us down and was able to miss the majority
of the angry weather. By the condition of the roads and the amount of water on
them I would say we were pretty lucky we didnt come back on the wet side.

We finished the ride as planned, pulling into Morrison around 3:00. Keeping
with CC Roders tradition we found the ice cream. It was a great day and a good
ride, MEMORIES!!!!!!!!
