08-05-2006 100,000 foot ride

Lynn Van Eperen - August 5th 2006

The 100,000-foot Ride is sponsored by Foothills BMW and the BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado. Mark and I didn't quite get started early enough to hit the bonus pass again this year (in fact we took the shortcut and skipped one pass because we did not get started early enough)-but the 450+ miles we did were all great ones!

It threatened rain all day-and it finally materialized after we passed Vail. We put our rain gear on before we hit Eisenhower on the way back in-and it never quite stopped completely.

Mark won a Chicane tail pack as a door prize this year. We ran into Siggi (I think he lapped us at some point on the ride). It is a lot of fun-and a very well organized run.
