03-19-2006 2006 Biker Bowling
Nancy Stern-Jude - March 19th 2006
For those of you who decided to sleep in on Sunday morning (3/19), you missed a great time. I want to thank Olga for finding the Arvada Bowling Alley. What a nice, clean, smoke free place. Even the manager, Mark, was very helpful and made sure we were having fun. We are honestly thinking that we need to do a repeat of this event in the fall.
We had four teams participating this year. Everyone was encouraging everyone else to do their best. We even had one person with a cast on who bowled pretty well. There was a lot of screaming and laughing going on.
Gary Cox and myself created the awesome awards and it showed that we spared no expense. The awards went to:
High Score - Gary Messick
Low Score - Kelly Deering
Most Gutter Balls - Patty Esters
Most Splits - Ron Proven
High Score Team - Donna Cox, Gary Cox, Kathy Banning and Kelly Deering
Low Score Team - Nancy Stern-Jude, Amanda Jude and Taylor.
After distributing the awards, we departed to Gunther Toody's just a couple of miles away in Arvada for lunch. Larry was sang to by the employees of Gunther Toody's for his birthday as well as receiving a kiss from one of the members of the Red Hat Society (they said Larry could be an honorary member).
Check out the pictures that Mark Castleman took of the event. Thanks, Mark, for being our photographer.
Thanks again to everyone who helped and attended this annual event. We always have fun!
Riding the Rocky Mountain High (in between the snow flakes)!
