Let's Get Lost with Fluffy didn't
Nancy Stern-Jude - June 30th 2010
You wouldn't believe it even if I had proof (no camera on this ride). We didn't get lost at all.
The ride started at IHOP in Castle Rock with Griz and I having a good breakfast and catching up. Then others started coming in and Griz decided to head straight down to Tejon Street (I think he figured we might not make it down there).
With 7 bikes and 8 people we started off to not even getting 3 miles down the road when Lynn caught up with us. We headed up Founders Parkway to 86 into Elizabeth where we headed north out of there and past where they normally play polo. Heading west on what would eventually drop us off at Parker Road where we headed south to Franktown to check our tanks and stretch.
We continued down 83 jogging over onto Voyger (I think) and then to 25 south where we exited at Bayou to the famous parking lot and then on to checking out Tejon Street Festival. We scattered and wandered around watching the skies as they got darker. We all met back at the parking lot so I lead everyone out to head north on 25 to 105 where we stopped for gas. At this point some riders took off for home while the rest of us headed up 105 to the ice cream shop in Palmer Lake (we only got sprinkled on). We then took 105 to Sedalia where we then split again with yours truly heading south on Santa Fe and the rest heading north.
Thank you to everyone who participated and had a great sense of humor. Next year I will come up with another different route which will again land us in Colorado Springs.
