Deckers FUN RUN -Another Messick Adventure; fun had by all

What a great way to spend a WINDY Saturday! started w/ 7 for
breakfast R.Rocks grill;Had 13 riders leave Conoco Morrison
10:45; Gary,Gordon,Alan,Lynn,Rod,Nancy,DOn(new trike),charles/susan,new guest Nathan,Len/Evelyn. Rode up Hiwy 285 at about Tiny town;looked back 1/2 riders missing?
pulled over;sent rider back. Rod's bike broke down elect. trbl fuse. LYnn/Don and stayed w/rod got his bike towed; rest of us continued ride. Windy thru Hyman fire area (got "sandblasted" by micro bursts. The whole group met back up at restaurant High C BBQ @Woodland Park. Great place; we split up "Wagon load meal" $15.95 fed (3);5-6 assorted meats and tray of sides. cost reasonable and good food;Had place to our shevles. Great group of people!! stayed 1:00-2:30; left rode to Sinclair gas station Manitou Sprgs. Yes I had to do a (ONE) u-turn on hiwy 24 to get us to gas station. Filled up;since running late skipped garden of gods;rode hwy 24 to I-25 north;soared straight thru Colo Springs to Monument. there split up;some went for ICE CREAM Palmer Lake rockhouse. Monument, wind 20-25mph temp low 80's NO RAIN; Rod got bike home ok; BIG thanks to LYNN/ Nancy and DON;
